Our mission…
…is to drive from one end of England, Scotland and Wales to another (we can’t be arsed with Northern Ireland). In a Ford Ka (1.3 litre) Golf (1.9 litre turbo). However there are some rules to this road trip:
1. We cannot use motorways.
2. We have to visit every administrative capital of the counties of these three countries, and take a picture outside their town hall.
3. We have to spend as little money as possible.
4. We can only take five days of annual leave to complete this and it has to be completed by the middle of June.
5. We cannot use SatNav. We have to use maps and signposts.
Who is undertaking this trip? First there’s me who is writing this, Ed Walker. 22, from London. And the other is Andy Squire, 22, from Devon who isn’t writing this.
We need your help. Does anyone have a list of the administrative capitals (we mean places like Preston in Lancashire) for England, Scotland and Wales? Drop me an email at edward_walker86@hotmail.co.uk or hit us up on twitter - either ed_walker86 or andysquire
We also plan to blog the trip, with plenty of videos and photos on the way. You’ll be able to follow our progress and hopefully send messages of goodwill.
